Blog for next year

I enjoy writing journals because they give us a chance to express ourselves. However I do not like to write them electronically. Writing them in class and sharing them made everyone feel closer to everyone and if you did not have much input on the subject you did not have to say anything for that given topic. They also served as a way to learn about each other and for us to reveal what we wish for people to know about us. Viewing everyone’s blog would not be practical but reading them aloud in class gave us a chance to hear from everyone. Also, writing by hand makes it feel more personal and portrays what we really think and feel versus typing it having the same thought process as if we were on Facebook. think they should be continued next year for sure but back to how we started them in the beginning of the year.

Bucket List!

-Graduate from College Of Charleston

-Backpack across Europe

-Fly over the US at night on the 4th of July

-Get married in a little white church by the beach

-Go on a mission trip to Africa

-Discover a constellation

-Teach Special Education

-Rescue as many animals as I have room for in my house!

-Stick up for someone when they really need it.

-Surround myself with loving people

-Be happy. Really happy.

Bullying

Bullying is a very serious, very life altering act that is taken too lightly by many people. To prevent bullying it takes the help of teachers, parents, and students. Teachers need to be aware of the relationships between students and take it seriously when they notice one kid being picked on, instead of passing it off as “Oh they are just joking around.” Parents need to be involved with their kids social life and aware if something may be going on at school or over the Internet that is causing pain for their kid. Students have to work together to stand up for the ones who tend to be the class targets, nothing will happen unless people come together and take a stand against bullying. Bullying over the Internet is just as serious as bullying face to face. People caught cyber bullying should be deprived of their Internet privileges.

Being Fifteen

What I am positively sure I will not forget about being 15 is the sense of freedom I have, but I still heavily rely on my parents. I am allowed to go out with friends with out adult supervision, get my drivers permit, and go to high school but with out the responsibility that comes out of being older and the lack of trust of being younger. I am too young to have a job other than babysitting, so I rely on my parents to fund what I do. Other than when you are 16 and able to have a job. I can drive, which is a step of from not driving when I was 14, but yet still too young to get anywhere with out my mom in the front seat. It is a very in between age, which is why adults normally forget about being 15. They remember what it is to be young, not driving, and no job. They remember driving their friends as 16 and 17 years old, and working at the near by fast food chain. They do not remember this awkward in the middle age, but I will never forget.

Teaching Talents

I am enrolled in a photography class at Northview and I have learned a lot about the process of making pictures the old fashion way, usuing the dark room process. Before fancy digital cameras, photographers had to develop thier pictures manually. Teaching the process of taking and making a picture would be very intresting, I think everyone would be captivated. I used to think it was just as simple as taking pictures now, but making one picture takes up to 15 minutes! Photography is something every one takes intrest in depending on the subject matter, and learning the logistics of it would be very benificial!

Grammar Concepts

I have trouble with knowing when to use colons and semi colons instead of commas. I feel like they all serve the same purpose, separating items of a list. I do not understand when you use each one. Another thing I cannot tell the difference is usuing whom and who. I used to not be able to tell when you use “a” or “an” but I learned just this past year that you use an when the next word begins with a vowel! Learning grammar in class is really helpful!

Personal Assistant

Out of the list of those very inspiring and intelligent men Socrates is the most captivating to me, but in that case I would want to be HIS assistant so I could keep track of his mind bending thoughts. In the instance of having one of them as my personal assistant I would choose William Shakespeare. He has a way of turning dull situations into beautiful dialogue. With him as my assistant, I would have him write down my daily events in his poetic ways. So at the the end of each day I can read an astounding piece of poetry about my usually mundane day. Also, I would have him follow me and Alex Edwards around all the time writing love poems dedicated to us. He writes the most beautiful love poems and nothing would be more amazing than having some of Shakespeare best work done in my honor. Based on his writings, he seems as if he would be fun to be around for long periods of time. Between being humorous but very in touch with his feelings, we would make a great team!
